Azurite is a soft and bright blue colored mineral of Copper, produced by the weathering of Copper-Ore. The bright blue color that it has makes it a very attractive and popular stone in the rock collectors realm.
The Azurite stone has been used by healers for many centuries. In the Medieval and Renaissance period it was the main source where the blue pigmented paint they had back then.
