Obsidian is a naturally occurring volcanic glass with a high silica content formed in swiftly cooling lava. However, it is not considered a true mineral because its chemical content is not entirely consistent, and it does not form crystals.
How to clean this specimen - Use a slightly damp cloth to remove fingerprints and grime. A soft-bristled paintbrush or dry cloth is excellent for removing dust.
