Ron Coleman Mining has been the premiere destination for hands-on mining and precious gem gifts for nearly 30 years. Families and visitors come from all over the country to see our mine in Jessieville, Arkansas, and to dig their own gems.
There are few activities more fun than mining your own gems. At Ron Coleman Mining, we have a side-by-side zipline that soars over the crystal mine at nearly 1/4 a mile long; extensive premises boasting a huge mine; a gift shop full of decorative quartz and other minerals; a wholesale shop for buying minerals in bulk; an RV resort; and a large digging area for the intrepid visitor. Our mine is so fruitful that we guarantee you will find your digging fees worth of beautiful quality quartz crystals or receive credit towards your choice of quartz crystals from our gift shop.
We offer quartz and amethyst crystal in a great variety of sizes for sale in our gift shop, as well as minerals from around the world. We have an entirely separate area for wholesale buyers to buy items for purchase for their own shops. We also encourage you to view our incredible gallery, which features museum quality pieces, dug right here in our own mine, as well as large specimens from around the world. If you’re interested in staying to dig another day, check out our grand RV park, which offers plenty of space and a gorgeous view of the Arkansas mountain range.

"I have collected several times at this locality and have never been disappointed. The crystals are beautiful and I collected as a light rain was falling and found excellent specimens. I found numerous specimens that were double terminated and many had extra faces on the crystals."

"Could not have been better! Thank You! We come from Colorado to visit Ron Coleman Mine! This would be our 3rd trip within the last 5 years. The crew brought up three fresh truck loads of dirt on our first day there. So we came back the next day and hit the pay dirt! We found our first big crystal, which was about 4 inches in diameter and 8 inches long, then about 15 min. later we found a cluster of 6 crystals that same size! woohoo!! "

"We came down from Pennsylvania. Took the morning tour with Rick, who was awesome and so laid back. My two daughters (9 and 12) learned a lot. Then we went out to the pit to dig. We met wonderful people and found tons of milky and clear quartz. Mostly Milky. The first day it was 102 and we only managed to stay out for an hour or so. But the second it rained and it was great lots of awesome little and medium size finds. The girls were happy to be out there in the dirt and clay. We're talking about coming back down, but probably flight down lol. 20 hours is a long drive."

"I am preparing for our sixth field trip to the Coleman Mines. I have taken my eighth graders here for several years. We drive for two hours each way just to come dig crystals at the Coleman mines. My students always have a blast and we always find such amazing stones. I have taken two trips here as a patron without my students. Every time, as a school group or as an individual, the trip has been fun and full of great finds. I plan to keep coming back every year. THANK YOU!"
