Crystal Mine Tour

Go Behind The Scenes At Ron Coleman Mine

While digging for crystals at Ron Coleman Mine, take a behind-the-scenes crystal mine tour of Arkansas' premiere quartz crystal mine.  No reservation is necessary.  However, signing up when you arrive at the mine is best as the tours are popular and book up quickly each day.

What To Expect When You Take The Guided Crystal Mine Tour

You will view a short video about the history of Ron Coleman Mine and take a guided tour of our Gallery of museum-quality mineral specimens (including larger quartz crystal specimens unearthed by Ron Coleman miners Josh and Andrew).  Remember, as you are taking the tour, most specimens in the Gallery are available for purchase. We will load your purchase or ship it to you!  Your tour guide will be happy to provide pricing on any specimen. You will then ride in a military vehicle through the public digging area and down to the commercial mine, where you will be shown crystal veins and the equipment used by our miners.  You will also possibly view our miners removing crystals from a pocket.  At the end of the tour, you will be taken through the cleaning and sorting area, where you will see crystals recently removed from our commercial quartz mine, which will be in various stages of cleaning and sorting.  Our friendly tour guide will show you specimens with different qualities.  The tour runs approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour.
