Sodalite Flower Decor
This is a gorgeous, hand-carved, medium-sized Sodalite double daisy flower on a quartz crystal base. The leaves are also carved out of a gemstone. The metal stem gives this delicate flower good support. The quartz crystal base complements the Sodalite daisy petals wonderfully.
The meaning of Sodalite derives from the stone's rich sodium content. It gained popularity as an ornamental stone in 1891 when deposits were found in Ontario, Canada. Because these deposits were discovered at the same time as a visit from the royal family in Canada, Sodalite is sometimes referred to as Princess Blue.
