Bumble Bee Jasper is a vibrantly orange, yellow, and black material that is actually formed from a mixture of Indonesian volcanic lava and sediment. It is a carbonate-rich rock that was first discovered on the island of Java during the 1990's.

Bumble Bee Jasper is a soft stone, with a Mohs hardness of 5 or below. This porous rock is easy to cut and polish. This stone is a combination of volcanic matter, Anhydrite, Hematite, Sulfur, and Arsenic. Safety in finished pieces: Polished, intact display pieces or jewelry are generally considered safe to handle under normal conditions.

The lovely patterns on this stone are very similar to what you will find on a bumblebee insect, hence the name. The yellow color in this stone is due to Sulfur, which is toxic, and arsenic; please wash your hands after handling.

Approximate Measurements: 3.5 inches in height and 1 inch in width.

NOTE: The color and pattern shown in the images may not be the one you receive.

Cleaning Instructions: Gently clean this with a soft microfiber cloth.

Shipping Terms: Your order will be carefully packed and shipped via USPS or UPS within 3 business days of checkout.

In its solid form, this product is harmless to hold and display. Grinding, polishing, cutting or any mechanical process will release dust particles that, when inhaled, are known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects and reproductive harm.
