Beautiful cut polished Morado Purple Opal rock specimen. This specimen is considered by metaphysical practitioners as a stone of enhancement.
There are a few theories about opal formation, but we will use the most widely accepted theory. Groundwater that sits close to the surface evaporates as the seasons change, allowing a very thin layer of opal to form in the pores and cracks within the rock. Opal develops inside these cracks near the surface over time, creating the seams and nodules that our present-day miners dig today.
