Carved Stone Decorative Bowl
Onyx is known and loved for its banding marks all over the stone. This deep red Onyx made into a bowl is a beautiful example of its banding, in the colors of white and slate grey. This is a gorgeous mineral specimen of Onyx.
Onyx has a parallel banding pattern. Onyx comes in a variety of colors as well, including Red Onyx, which is similar and matches Agate. Onyx shares many of the same characteristics as Quartz does. The ancient Romans and the Greeks are said to have commonly favored this particular gemstone, probably for Onyx's protective properties.

Cleaning Instructions: THIS IS NOT DISHWASHER SAFE. You can clean this by hand with lukewarm water and a mild soap. Then rinse and pat dry.
