Cherry Creek Jasper is a variety of Jasper found in the Mainland, China. It is also called as Red Creek Jasper due to beautiful red spots on the surface. The upper surface of the stone is smooth. It has light green color with a mixture of slight reddish.  It is also called as Picasso Jasper. It is also sometimes referred to as Red Creek Jasper or Red River Jasper.

Jasper is a member of the Chalcedony family. Chalcedony (kal SED' nee) is any form of microcrystalline quartz, where the crystals are too small to be seen without high magnification. Jasper usually refers to an opaque stone, with a solid color or an irregular display of colors caused by various mineral impurities.

The name Jasper is derived from the Greek word that means “spotted stone”. Most Jaspers get their name from either their location or their appearance.
