Purpurite Ring Women's Purple Stone Jewelry

This beautiful Purpurite, pear shape, cabochon cut, bezel set ring is finely crafted in sterling silver (925).  The beautiful ornate bezel features a beaded scroll design.  The shank is plain, highly polished and solid half round.  Bezel setting describes a solid sheet of metal that surrounds the outside of the stone and a rim of metal that surrounds the top of the stone. Cabochon cut describes a stone that has a convex top that is smooth as a flat bottom.  

Purpurite stone is a semi-precious gemstone that was discovered in the 19th century.  The name comes from the natural purple color it displays.  

This ring can be sized up or down 2 sizes without damaging the stone.
