Beautiful small quartz crystal cluster from our mine in Arkansas. All crystals from our mine are un-cut, un-polished, and have only been cleaned. This two point crystal cluster is stacked on one another and is freestanding. Quartz that forms from the crystallization of magmatic rocks crystallizes from a melt that is rich in silica and water. The crystals usually do not express their own crystal form, but instead fill voids between other earlier-formed minerals. Sometimes they even encase other minerals as inclusions. The grain size is determined by the size of the void being filled and the supply of silica.
Approximate measurements: 2.5 inches at its tallest by 2.5 inches at its widest.
