Agate Crystal Geode Butterfly Wings

This is a gorgeous Agate crystal geode pair, shaped like butterfly wings, and comes with a stand. The geode has been cut in half and has been perfectly polished smooth. In the center of each geode half, is hundreds of tiny drusy crystals. 

Agate is made up of many varieties of chalcedony, which is part of the Quartz family. It has a Mohs hardness of 7. There is a record of Agate being found as far back as 3000 B.C., by the Egyptians. Its name is derived from a river that can be found in Sicily.

Approximate Measurements:  5.50 inches tall, 4.75 inches wide, and 2.50 inches in depth.
