This is a stunning Chrysanthemum Stone specimen known as Flower Stone and Lucky Stone.  This lovely mineral decor specimen is sold with a beautifully ornate, custom wood base.  Mineral specimens are a beautiful interior design accent.  Genuine Chrysanthemum mineral specimens (in large sizes) are becoming quite rare.  We cannot replace this one-of-a-kind flower stone specimen once it has sold due to availability.  This listing includes the custom-carved wood base.  This natural stone is black and white.  Therefore, it looks incredible in any space.  

This rare stone consists of Limestone, Dolomite, Porphyry, Clay, and gypsum.  It has natural inclusions of Calcite, Feldspar, Crandallite, Andalusite, and Celestite.  These inclusions are generally white on a very dark matrix and resemble those of a Chrysanthemum flower.  They are believed to have been formed by hot temperatures and organic-rich mud on sea floors.

How can you tell if it's a real chrysanthemum stone?  When finding this mineral on the market, you may notice some specimens with “flowers” that appear to have been painted on them.  That is because they most likely are.   Notice in our images that the white "flower" seems to be bursting from the black stone.  Upon close inspection, you will see a height difference between the base stone and the white chrysanthemum blooms.

Cleaning Instructions: You can use a soft cloth and a soft-bristled paintbrush to remove loose dust gently.
