This is a Novaculite slice that is uniform in size.  Because it is a natural stone, you will notice there may be a variance in colors.

Arkansas Novaculite is a rock that has been used by residents of Arkansas for years. It is a microcrystalline sedimentary rock. Like other cherts and flints, novaculite is primarily composed of silica.  It is also known as Arkansas stone.

Novaculite is a found only in the Ouachita Mountains of Arkansas and Oklahoma.  American Indians living in this region considered it an essential raw material for manufacturing sharp-edged durable tools. Novaculite was quarried from outcrops on mountain ridges.

These specimens are sold by the piece.
