Stone Soap Dispenser

 Carved Sodalite stone dispenser for lotions and liquid soap.  It's a lovely blue bathroom accessory.

Sodalite has a hardness of 5.5 to 6 and is made of chloric sodium aluminum silicate.  Its name is from the plentiful amount of sodium that is in this particular stone.  Sodalite is often found in the form of one big mass structure, not a crystal-like structure.  Typically, this will be found in just different hues of blues and grays but does involve some white like veins running throughout some.

Sodalite can be found in many places around the world, but the largest deposit discovered so far is in Bahia, Brazil.  

Measurements approximately: height is 7.5 inches, and width is 3.5 inches.

Cleaning Instructions: You can clean this with a soft-bristled paint brush or a damp, soft cloth, then pat dry.
