Collection: Cathedral Geode

Cathedral geodes are a fascinating member of the quartz crystal family.   Most excellent Amethyst geodes come from a region along the Brazil-Uruguay border. The geodes are mined from several lava flows belonging to the Parana Continental Flood Basalt Province. This was one of the largest outpourings of basalt lava known. An estimated 800,000 cubic kilometers of lava extruded over an 11-million-year time span.   All "Citrine" cathedral geodes sold are heat treated Amethyst.  Citrine does not naturally grow in the form of a geode. 

As with all rock specimens, there are no two exactly alike.  Once it is sold, please do not ask us to find one exactly like the one that sold.  That is impossible.  Simply email us at info@roncolemanmining with your measurement and color specifications.  We will do our best to find the size and color you seek.

Place it in your space as a Feng Shui energy cure.  It will also work wonders in the wealth corner or your home or business.  The Feng Shui Bagua (energy map) has an area dedicated to wealth. When you stand in your bedroom door (or the front door to your home), the far left back corner is the wealth corner.

Amethyst Care:  Prolonged exposure to sunlight will gradually fade Amethyst.  Use a feather duster or a slightly wet, light cloth to wipe each cluster.

Please note:  All sales are final.  Shipping insurance is included in the event of freight damage.  If your package is damaged in shipping, hold onto the box and all packing materials as the shipper will want to pick up.
