Clear Quartz crystal is transparent type of Quartz, because it is composed of silicon dioxide.  It has a Mohs hardness of a 7.  Citrine which is thought of as one of the more popular types of Quartz, is considered to be one of the more valuable types of Quartz because of its many different metaphysical benefits.
