This mineral specimen is carved into the shape of a butterfly, and the face is covered in purple Amethyst druzy crystals. Around the edge of the face is polished, and the back side is left natural.

Purple amethyst is a Quartz variety that contains iron and other trace minerals in its structure   It is a calming and meditative stone that works in the physical, emotional, and spiritual planes in order to promote peace, calm, and balance.

This stone can be found in so many places around the world, especially in Brazil, North America, Italy, the Middle East, Uruguay, and Greece.  This piece is from Brazil.
