The Red Jasper goes as far back as the days of the Romans,they had used it in mosiacs and stone cladding inside of buildings. It was also combined with marble to create unique and gorgeous marble flooring.
It is a member of the Quartz family, and is a relatively hard stone which makes it a very popular source for carving into diffierent types of figurines and such used in architecture and artwork.
