Jasper is a variety of chalcedony.  It typically comes in brown but can also be found in shades of blue, grey, pink, purple, white, orange, red, and yellow. The name Jasper means spotted or speckled stone. 

Jasper can be found from all over but mostly comes from Australia and India. 

One of Jasper's most common spiritual properties is the energy of peace, calm, and tranquility.
