This specimen is a beautiful enhanced to black quartz crystal cluster mined at Ron Coleman, Arkansas and enhanced by gamma ray technology. Heating the aluminum within the stone using ionizing radiation changes the color. Ionizing radiation is also used to sterilize medical equipment.
