Named for its sodium content, Sodalite is a chloric sodium aluminum silicate. It is classified as a feldspathoid and is well-known for its rich blue color intermingled with white Calcite, though it may also form as gray, pink, yellow, or green.
Sodalite is one of the densest and most grounded of the dark blue stones and is wonderful for mediating. It can bring insight to oneself and an honest evaluation of one's motivations, weaknesses, strengths, and gifts.
