This beautiful Lapis Lazuli mineral specimen is cut into a tower point and highly polished. Note the many hues of blue, from navy to light sky.
Lapis is a metamorphic rock that has long been highly valued for its rich blue hues. Back as early as the 7th. Millennium B.C. it was being mined in the Sari-Sang mines in Shortugai and in Afghanistan. This crystal was also used in the funeral mass for Tutankhamun, somewhere between 1341 and 1323 B.C.
Measurements: This Lapis Lazuli tower point stands 4 inches tall and is 1.5 inches wide.
Cleaning Instructions: You can clean this with lukewarm water and a mild soap. Then rinse and pat dry.
