Mortar and Pestle Carved Polished White Onyx

This beautiful mortar and pestle are carved, polished white onyx.  The natural colors are white and gray. Mortar and pestle are implements used since ancient times to prepare ingredients or substances by crushing and grinding them into a fine paste or powder in the kitchen, laboratory, and pharmacy.  Once you use a mortar and pestle, you will consider it a much-needed kitchen implement.

The mortar is approximately 4 inches tall. 

The pestle is slightly under 5.5 inches.
