White Howlite is also referred as Magnesite. Howlite is said to represent the spritual qualitys of being still, keeping an open mind, and tenderness of the heart. This stone was originally named after Henry How, a canadian chemist, geologist, and mineralogist who discovered this stone in the year 1868 in Nova Scotia.
Howlite is best known for imitating other gemstones. Due to its porous body structure it absorbs dye very well.
