Purple Morado Opal Slab Mineral Specimen

This is a beautiful purple Opal display piece. This would look lovely on a mantel or on a coffee table with a candle on top of it.   Purple opal is considered a stone of enhancement.  Purple Opal, which is also known as Morado Opal, Opal Royale or Violet Flame Opal, is a variety of different Opal that was recently discovered somewhere in central Mexico in 2011. It mainly crystallizes in the form of masses & nodules without the usual “fire” one thinks when seeing Opal. The purple within this mineral is actually caused by tiny pieces of Fluorite and Silica inclusions. You will mainly find this mineral cut into cabochons, although occasionally one may find this Opal variety tumbled.

 Approximate measurements: This piece is 9.50 inches long and 5 inches wide.
