Though we mine quartz at our Arkansas mine, there is still a place for other quartz specimens in our store, especially quartz points of this size.  This is a cut and polished point.  The name "Quartz" comes from the Greek word "Ice. " Some ancients believed that quartz crystals were water-frozen so hard that they could never thaw. For persons born underwater, astrology signs are very drawn to quartz.
