Rainbow Crystal

This fabulous rainbow aura quartz cluster was hand-mined at Ron Coleman Mining.  It is an Arkansas natural quartz crystal cluster enhanced with a Titanium vapor coating and heat treatment.  The Titanium provides the rainbow of colors that you see.  It features crystal points and drusy crystals.

How to aura coat crystals?

The process involves vapor deposition to coat titanium layers onto the quartz.  Since only enhancement is used to create these colors, very little heat is involved, and the crystal's integrity is maintained.  The crystal does not become brittle or prone to breakage, unlike other enhancements.  The method poses no environmental harm from hazardous chemicals or byproducts.

Measurements: 4 inches long, 2.50 inches wide, and 1.50 inches tall.

Care and cleaning:

Use a soft-bristle brush to remove dust.  Grime and oil removal is best done using a slightly damp microfiber cloth.

A warning label with a yellow triangular hazard icon and black text stating that the product can expose silica, which is known to the State of California to cause cancer, with a URL at the bottom.

California Prop 65 warning:  Natural crystals (such as quartz, agate, and jasper) are made of or contain crystalline silica. In their solid, finished state, crystals are completely safe to handle and display. However, mechanical actions such as cutting, sawing, crushing, grinding, or sanding turn the solid material into fine airborne dust particles that can enter the lungs.
