The Azurite stone is a great stone for cutting and making jewelry or tumbling.  This listing is sold by the pound.  While Azurite is not an extremely abundant mineral and is rarely found in large deposits. It has been used in a number of ways. This stone has been ground into pigment for paint and used as a dye for fabric for thousands of years.

 Azurite can often be found in rocks that are above deposits of copper ore. That helps them to use Azurite as an indicator mineral in the search for subsurface copper deposits. The presence of abundant Azurite indicates there is a good possibility of finding some form of copper ore below, nearby.

Cleaning Instructions: You can gently clean this with a soft bristled paint brush or damp soft cloth.
