Sand Selenite Desert Rose Rock Medium $5 Each

Sand Selenite is available in a variety of sizes.  This listing is for what we term to be medium size.  If you are feeling crafty, Sand Selenite aka Rose Rock makes a very cute snowman. 

• Sand selenite forms in arid, sandy environments, like when a shallow salt basin evaporates. Water and wind help form the crystals, which are embedded in sand blades and form a rosette shape.
• Sand selenite is found in deserts around the world, including Mexico, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Australia, Tunisia, and Afghanistan. 
• Selenite is primarily made of calcium sulfate dihydrate aka gypsum.
• A traditional Native American tale stated that Desert Rose Selenite was carved by warriors who returned home from the spirit world. The roses were said to have been spread across the Earth to protect these spirits’ homeland
• Cleaning - do not immerse in water.  Simply use a dry paintbrush to lightly remove any dust.
