Beautifully painted winter scene of a bear cub in a tree with a mother bear and a second cub watching over it.  This scene is painted on sandstone and attached to a polished wooden back, allowing it to be used as wall art or displayed on a tabletop, bookcase, or as a focal point.  This art features neutral-to-cool color tones. It is associated with the Feng Shui earth element, often seen in rustic cabin decor, lodge focal points, and masculine accent for the office.  

Artist: Jackie Bond, Arizona, 1938 to 2021

She was known to use the Gouache method in her paintings, using crushed stones and minerals as pigments and gum arabic.  Painting by grinding natural earth and mineral pigments and mixing them with a binder is an ancient practice used in Native American and Ancient Egyptian cultures.
